Speaking of being “daring”

I just don’t get it.
I just don’t get this fascination with … ahem … dare I say it …
“Twilight.”
I know them are fightin’ words, but, I just don’t get it.
First off, no, I haven’t read the books because (A) I don’t read fiction, and (B) it’s about a vampire.
If I’m going to fill my mind up with something, it’s going to be something that will help me better my life.
Now, let me clarify …
I’m not anti-vampire.
I mean, HELLO … I watched “The Lost Boys” about 20 times when I was a teenager. Those were some hot vampires, you know.
However, after seeing “Interview with a Vampire,” my desire to know any more about vampires diminished, due to the insane amount of blood-sucking. Oh, but wait … that’s what vampires do. I just didn’t expect it to be so gory, even though it was blood-sucking. Silly Me.
And you know, these vampires will suck your blood no matter what. Yeah, they can say they love you, whatever. When night comes and you’re around with blood running through your veins, they’re gonna try to suck your blood. Sorry to burst your bubble, but no vampire can withstand the blood sucking no matter how charming and beautiful a woman may be or their desire to love them. Ain’t gonna happen.
With all that said…
Please, oh please, tell me … what is the deal with “Twilight” and grown women’s fascination with it?
Please don’t hate me for my frankness and non-understanding.
