The start to my birthday … night-before gifts because the girls absolutely could not wait.
They did a great job of picking out what their mama likes.

Beau got me exactly what I wanted.

The birthday lunch at a little downtown bistro … my favorite pan-seared shrimp sandwich on freshly baked bread and sweet potato fries. Delicious.

Two good friends.

And, my Beau.

The end of the day … La Petite Belle after her soccer scrimmage where she scored the only goal for her team just for me on my birthday. She rested her aching legs as we waited for her dinner from Sonic.

It really was a great day and these things were blessings. I’m so thankful for them all.
But, really, the best part of my birthday … the very best part … was finding out that I don’t have cancer. And, no, this was not the thing I have been waiting about. It was just an added bonus from earlier in the week when my doctor decided I needed a biopsy. But, this is a whole other post for another time. Maybe later.
