The start to my birthday … night-before gifts because the girls absolutely could not wait.
They did a great job of picking out what their mama likes.
Beau got me exactly what I wanted.
The birthday lunch at a little downtown bistro … my favorite pan-seared shrimp sandwich on freshly baked bread and sweet potato fries. Delicious.
Two good friends.
And, my Beau.
The end of the day … La Petite Belle after her soccer scrimmage where she scored the only goal for her team just for me on my birthday. She rested her aching legs as we waited for her dinner from Sonic.
It really was a great day and these things were blessings. I’m so thankful for them all.
But, really, the best part of my birthday … the very best part … was finding out that I don’t have cancer. And, no, this was not the thing I have been waiting about. It was just an added bonus from earlier in the week when my doctor decided I needed a biopsy. But, this is a whole other post for another time. Maybe later.

Happy Birthday. A day without cancer is always a good day…glad it's all okay.

Happy late birthday! Glad it was good — and glad you don't have cancer, either!!
Oh wow! Praise the Lord it wasn't cancer!
Cute coffee mug!!
I think I'm going to have to check out Coco…and sweet potato fries. Both I've heard are wonderful, but never tried either.

Happy Birthday! and so glad you could celebrate it with happy news.
Goodness, that meal looks so good. You have the sweetest family, and they know you so well, from the looks of those gifts!
No cancer = great news! I have a little spot on my hand that looks terribly suspicious to me, and I have got to get it checked out soon, so I can stop scaring myself with self-diagnosis.
The best news ever! I'm so thankful.
Happy Birthday Mama Belle. You are a blessing.
