Lots of people love Christmas. Lots.
There are even those that love Christmas but don’t love Jesus.
Weird. Since that’s what Christmas is all about.
But, I understand that the commercialism of Christmas can make anyone happy. Because, honestly I love a lot of those things too.
I love pretty much everything about Christmas (except for fruitcake). Always have. Always will.
I love Christmas cookies, egg nog, Christmas shopping, Christmas dinner, lighted houses, decorated trees, baking, parties, family get-togethers, sweaters, wrapping presents, stockings, hot chocolate, wassail, wreaths, poinsettias, caroling, Christmas cards, giving gifts, Christmas movies, Starbuck’s Christmas coffees, just being home with my family, and much, much more.
So, I guess I can see why others who don’t celebrate the birth of Jesus could still happily celebrate Christmas. That’s some fun stuff!
But, it’s sad that they miss out on the very best part of Christmas … the celebration of a Savior coming into the world. A Savior, doing just that … SAVING all of mankind.
That’s an incredible thing to celebrate!
We celebrate God, our Father, sending us the ultimate gift of reconciliation with Him. He loved and loves us that much to create such a beautiful way of salvation.
That’s why I love Christmas.
Yes, the other things are great! But, secondary.
Jesus is why I celebrate!
Jesus is why I sing, why I live, why I love. Without Him, I could not truly do any of those things.
I celebrate my Savior and my King!

Love this song.

Merry Christmas to you and yours! May you truly experience the love of God this season and year!
