So, I bought some white pants.
Ya’ll … I’m scared.
I’m going to attempt to wear them for Easter.
One thing I don’t like about the act of wearing them … no, actually two things … no, maybe three …
#1 You can see the pockets straight through the pants.
#2 Every imperfection is noticeable.
#3 The whole undergarment thing … hmm.
My worry is that I think I look like this,
but actually I look something like this,
or worse.
Do you wear white pants? Any hints for me?
Beige or “skin” colored undies. I know thongs serve their purpose sometimes, but not with white pants. I would rather see a bit of panty line than a thong line!! Know what I mean?? And if your shirt hits the hip area, less worries.

Yes the great white pants problem plagues us all. Normally I just don’t wear them. However, if I get crazy and decide to do so, I (a) wear a jacket/blazer/long shirt of some sort that covers most of my rear, or (b) I wear those fabulous Spanx undergarments.
Stacy and Clinton would okay the removal of the pockets… particularly the front pockets.

I have to agree with the others, beige undies, I still wear thongs though. I hate the whole butt/thigh line because my butt is bigger than the panties!
Cut out the pockets and sew them shut. I do that with most pants.
As I write this comment, I see the booty of that last pic…It’s disturbing, to say the least. Hold on, I need to move the comment box over the pic.

I have a pair of white pants that I wore on a crisp, sunny morn. UNFORTUNATELY a torrential rain/hurricane poured down that afternoon…and I had an interview (for a story, not a job, thank God, though it was still just as embarrassing). I had NEVER experienced rain like this before. It was INSANE. My umbrella was blown inside out, and by the time I got from my car to the place for the interview, I was SOAKING wet…including those lllooovvveeelllyyy white pants. I seriously had to go to the bathroom, take my clothes off, and wring them out in the sink. It was HORRIBLE. I know the guy I interviewed could see straight through my pants (which is why I held my purse in front of me and my jacket over that). So embarrasing.
I wasn’t ready for that! I just spit my coffee all over my keyboard!
I second the Spanx. If I ever wear white pants, I go for the Spanx that go down to the knees. It’s still Spring… Hopefully no melting in the heat.
I have not worn white pants since before I was preggers, but trust me. I know how big you are and you will NOT look like those pics (unless for some reason the pants are way too tight, in which case they’d look bad on anyone!). You are too adorable. I say, rock ’em, girl!
And can I just say how funny I think it is that some ladies are recommending thongs? It might be time to break out of the comfort zone… 🙂
I think nude colored boy-short undies work the best, in kinda a stretchy material.
I’m with the others, I try to wear a shirt that at least covers 1/2 my butt.
Those pictures kill me 😉
I have a pair of white capris for Easter Sunday.
I’m really nervous. And have been asking myself what I’m going to wear under them. I have spanx, so I’m going to try them on later and see…..

Regarding thongs. Personally I can not stand them. I’ve tried them. The last time I tried them I had to come home from work and take them off because of chaffing in delicate areas. Not pleasant.
I don’t wear them, because I’d most definitely look like your pictures! lol

I have a pair of white pants that I LOVE. Like others, I wear an overshirt, like a jacket with them that covers 1/2 the bum!!
No, I don’t wear white. Stone color is as close as I get to white. I still feel self concious. Seemless boy shorts for undergarments is the only way to go. Good Luck!

I used to wear white pants… but I was much smaller then and could get away with it… I think you would look wonderful in white pants. I know your style and they fit your perfectly.

If I were going to wear white pants, I too would wear a jacket, but I wouldn’t wear a thong. I’ve seen girls and women wear white skirts with a thong and SERIOUSLY WHAT ARE THEY THINKIN’? Do they really want the whole world seeing their bare booty through that see-through white skirt?

i never thought about wearing my spanx under my white pants. good one.
my suggestion was going to be (well, i guess it still is) to wear a long-ish top, like a tunic. i have a couple of graet tunics and thats the only think i wear with my white pants.
the pocket thing drives me crazy!!
Okay, so I’ve been a lurker on your blog for a while now, but I have to respond to this one…Someone mentioned Spanx that are calf length so you can wear open toed sandals. I have a pair on now (not with white pants of course…I AM from Louisiana and know better). I think they’re perfection.

I say wear full panties rather than a thong, because seeing a thong line is WAY trashier than seeing a panty line…and yeah, if the shirt is semi-long and covers at least the top half of your booty, you’ll most likely have NOTHING to worry about.
Sadly, my biggest concern when wearing white is not spilling something all over myself or it always rains and they get DIRTY all over the bottom.

I avoid white pants for exactly the reasons you gave. And one other. No matter how careful I am, I always manage to brush up against something dirty and have a dirt smudge on my pretty pretty white pants… So I gave up years ago.

I l.o.v.e. me some white pants, capris, skirts, shorts…I love ’em all (after Easter, of course). I wear flesh-toned undies in boy short style to help eliminate pantyline (one of my biggest fears…seriously). I never thought about cutting out the pockets. I may try that one day.
