The Ultimate Blog Party has inspired me to look back at all the good times our family has had through the years. I was going through all the pictures I had on my computer, although they only go back to 2004, and reminiscing about the events of each year. There were so many pictures I wanted to post showing some of our craziest moments, but just didn’t have enough time or space. So instead, I tried to find pictures with all four of us in them. You know what I found … not much! But, I especially noticed how much my girls have changed, actually how we’ve all changed. Here’s our Christmas card from 2004. The thing I remember most about this card was Katie’s cute haircut. The reason she had to get that cute haircut was because she chopped her hair off due to the fact that it was “getting in her way” and ended up with one terrific mullet.

The girls’ grandmother had these taken the same year. I love this picture because it really looks like they love each other, which these days I don’t get to see very much. What’s memorable about this picture is that Kylie had an eye exam that day and her eyes were still dilated. If you look closely she looks a little like a Stepford child.

Another great picture of the girls showing each other some love. This was taken in 2006 when we went to Gatlinburg (which we love). We went trout fishing in one of the rivers and all had the best time. The girls just played in the water and even “petted” the fish. I know, not my idea, their Daddy’s!

This was taken in Las Vegas when we went on the gondola at The Venetian. What a beautiful hotel! We had so much fun.

We don’t have Krispy Kreme in Lafayette, so this was a huge treat for us as you can tell!
This was taken outside our house in 2007 after we had just gotten Roxy the dog with Moxie!  Look how much the girls have grown up!

It’s pretty sad that this is our most recent picture where we’re all together. This was taken in October of 2007. Not the best of pictures, but we’re all in it. Doesn’t everyone look this good after a day in Florida’s October 90-degree climate? The picture at the bottom of my blog had been the most recent picture (February 2007) and we are equally good-looking in our bulky ski clothes. I think this all means that we need to take a family picture desperately.

If you are visiting me for the first time from the blog party … WELCOME! I am a thirty-something-year-old mom of two girls (three if you count the dog) and a wife to a church media-director, video-maker, incredible bass player and singer guy named Richard (you did get that that’s all one man, right?). I am blessed to get to spend my life with these three wonderful people!
About Me:
My actual college degree is in Education, but I just recently stopped teaching for a while to work with my husband at our church as his assistant. I know what you’re thinking … how can you work with your husband? It’s easy! I love it! As Hannah Montana says, it’s the “best of both worlds.” I get to be with the man I love and he lets me do lots of fun and creative stuff. I’ve been able to write a lot of scripts and he gives me the chance to share my ideas. It’s a blast! I feel like I’m right where I need to be.
Another thing I love to do is sing (especially praise and worship)! I am on the worship team at our church, along with my husband. It’s one of my favorite things. It’s such an honor to get to usher people into the presence of God. I am humbled that I even get to do it.
I love to scrapbook, but never seem to have the time. I teach step aerobics at our church and take a kick boxing class, which I love. I lead a ladies’ Bible study every other week and now I’m addicted to blogging. I blog about so many things from what our family did last night tothe political race, skinny jeans, my fear of bridges, Girl Scout cookies, and why I can’t stop eating my girls’ Valentine’s Day candy. So you never know what you’re going to get! So come back and see me and let me know you were here because I also like to read lots of other blogs. So maybe we can be friends.
