* Did I mention I’m heading up a girls’ getaway for our women’s ministry this weekend? Yep … shopped for hours at Sam’s and WalMart (a.k.a. Hell) this morning for all the supplies … mostly chocolate in several forms (fondue, truffle, cookie, candy bar). We will be in Gulf Shores, AL for an overnight trip, staying right on the beach. Can’t wait. It’s gonna be a blast … eating, shopping, beach walking, chick flicks, more eating, girl talk, hanging out, and eating … all these things = fun.
* Realized I had not one presentable set of pajamas for this overnighter. I do have quite a few pajamas, but all of them are made of material that make me have pre-menopausal hot flashes because of the heavy material they’re made out of. So, I always end up stripping and throwing those hot pants off in the middle of the night. I mean, I live in Louisiana. No weather here warrants any clothing made of flannel or fleece.
* Remembered that I will be in major PMS-mode on the trip. I should be such a joy to be around. I’m looking for some sort of safe, over-the-counter mood relaxer. Not sure that exists.
* While I shopped at Sam’s, I bought two personal items to bring home: marinated asparagus and holiday-shaped pretzels. No, I’m not pregnant. I just craved them the moment I saw them.
* Had a wonderful girls’ lunch and ate a chicken burrito that was seriously, about a foot long. Pitiful thing is I ate almost all of it. Enjoyed the company and laughter most of all.
* Felt like my brain was at capacity, especially the memory part. Too many irons in the fire right now. Hoping to be back to normal after the trip.
* Oh … just remembered K Belle needs clean uniforms for tomorrow. Must go wash after this.
* Found out that tomorrow is Bosses’ Day. Isn’t that every day? Once I got home for the night, had to go out again to shop for that. My boss will actually be paying for most of his own present. Bosses’ Day … puh-lease … who made that holiday up? The bosses?
* Highlight of the day was the purchase of this:

Chanel don’t be jealous. I must save you for church, nights out, special days. You are to be treasured and not wasted on my everyday life. Chanel and sweats do not mix.
But, seriously, this is DKNY Delicious Night. I like it a lot and now I can mix it up a little on the fragrances.
* Now, I’m about to watch the debate that I had to record (so you know I typed this last night). So, I’m watching it after the fact, but I’m still hoping that the candidates will get a little more passionate. I’m waiting for a smack-down. Come on, guys.
* Very tired. Sniffles are gone. Eyes are rested from a day of wearing my nerd glasses. Feeling better.
