Yes, we are still here. We’ve gotten our sandbags and are boarding up our front glass door and windows.

Don’t know why, but I’m cleaning the house from top to bottom … like Gustav is an invited guest.
The mayor has issued only a voluntary evacuation and there probably will not be a mandatory one for our city. Most of the surrounding parishes are under mandatory evacuation.
Contra-flow (only allowing traffic to go in a northern direction) starts tomorrow morning at 4:00 a.m. until midnight.
And, get this … WalMart and other stores have closed at 6:00 p.m. today. Not sure why.
Oh, and gas … most stations are out! It’s like I’m living in the movie “Independence Day.” It’s just weird and freaky. Seeing the images of the cars bumper-to-bumper is kinda scary. People are just trying to get out.
As of right now, we are planning to stay, but maybe not at home. Beau has to be at the church to help with any people that would come for shelter, but we are staying. So, we probably will go to the church and stay in our offices on air mattresses. Just don’t know what we’re going to do with Roxy Belle right now … still working that out.
Thanks for your prayers. Please don’t stop praying.
