Since when did you start liking boys?
Since when did you start caring if your hair is straightened in the morning before school?
Since when did you desire to wear lip gloss?
Since when did you want to wear dangly earrings?
Since when did you get embarrassed by your daddy and me? (OK, maybe that was a long time ago, but still worth mentioning.)
Since when did you not want to tell your mother everything, but rather write about your life and feelings in your diary?
Since when did you care about whether you’re eating too much or not?
Since when would you rather listen to your IPod than sing along with your mom in the car?
Since when did you want to be with your friends more than be with your parents? Bring back separation anxiety.
I love you. Stop growing up so fast.
I so get this, from the far side.
I’m guessing you probably don’t want to hear how awesome it is to have adult children though…
I’ll stop now.
What a cutie!
I’ve got one of those too…7 going on 17. It makes me very sad.
THIS is what I have to look forward to? I’m praying for the colic to come back, at least then they were swaddled and lock in the swing and I new at some point they would need me to hold them and feed them and they would smile at me.
Great post.
I guess this is what I get to look forward to. 🙂
Maybe you are maybe you are not sad…..but I was tearing up reading this….I have two boys but the feelings are no different about them growing up to fast. No doubt difficult as a parent to feel them slipping away. I LOVE MY KIDS! Hang in there!
Tara Dewey
Her picture says it all – Get real Mom! I am right there with you. My 9 y/o is the same way, although, my 17 y/o is starting to come back around. I think she is starting to realize I do know some things:)
Oh my goodness, that picture! Sweetness.
Sweetness is growing up huh? 🙂 The rate at which this happens is pure crazuness isn’t it??
Look at the picture – she is precious! Wow – I can’t even imagine what I’ll do when this stage hits…I’m sad just thinking about it.
Oh, how that makes me want to cry!!
I’m already dreading the tween years. Heck, I’m dreading starting school…
*sob*
She’s so cute. They do grow-up too quickly though, don’t they?
Oh no. This totally breaks my heart.
It’s unfortunate the human race kind of needs boys. They are BAD news until they’re mature enough to be husbands.
You got the fast part right. I can’t believe I am on Grand babies now!
Is there a way we can keep them from growing so quickly? I wish I knew!
I am so dreading that day and like you, it is coming all too soon. Let me know what you do to fix it so I can try it on my two.
Can we just not talk about it and maybe it won’t happen? No? ok yeah ~ that’s what I thought. Cara had her very first night in Crossover last night. Can we say totally depressing? She sat by herself…….
So is dd over the grunge look now? I’m still working with Cara on it. We did a complete closet overhaul today. Nothing hanging in there I don’t approve of ~ hehehe!!
Awww, what a cutie-pa-tootie! Everyone I talk to about our little one says we’ll need to “hold on tight” cause time really does go by so fast! I guess they’re right. 🙁
If we could just stop blinking, they would stop growing up right?! I know what you are going through – don’t worry it doesn’t last forever – it just seems that way.
Hugs!
