Last Friday, we hosted our annual Ladies’ Christmas Party.
This year’s theme: Vintage Couture Christmas
It really was a fabulous night.
We pulled off an awesome fashion show, featuring ladies from our church, featuring two local shops.
Some of the ladies truly missed their calling and could work that runway like I’ve never seen.

Of course, we had a delicious dinner and there were games like, “Best Runway Walk” and “Most Stylish Hat” (which the ladies made out of a bag of random supplies in a matter of 10 minutes.
I shared a bit with the ladies about how God wants them to step out of their comfort zone and begin to share their stories.

There’s power in the word of our testimony and your testimony can make the eternal difference in someone’s life. God can use each of us no matter where we are in our lives. Just share. God did not call us to live a comfortable, saved life … to sit back and just be happy about our salvation. We are called to share it. (pretty much it in a nutshell)

My friend, Jodie, whom a lot of you know from her blog shared her story of God’s grace upon her life. And, three other brave women told story after story of how God saved them from their distress. Amazing! God is good.

My friend, Kari, led us in worship.

We made these fabulous peacock pencils to give to each lady to remind them to let God write their story and to share it with the world.
Then we had a giant fashion swap. I had fear that this was too large of an undertaking, but everyone pitched in from my incredible team and made it happen. I could have never done it alone.

Lots of treasures were found.
I got a Gucci bag and a leather jacket. Nothing makes a lady smile more than free clothes and accessories … good free clothes and accessories.
In the words of Clairee, “The only thing that separates us from the animals is our ability to accessorize.”
How true.
It truly was a fantastic night!
