Don’t let the innocent look fool you.
La Petite Belle: Is it OK if I give Jill these Christmas tree earrings since my ears aren’t pierced anymore? (long story) Christmas is her favorite holiday. (La Petite Belle showed me that she had boxed up a pair of brand new earrings she had received from Christmas.)
Me: I don’t care. Do whatever you want. You can’t wear them anymore.
La Petite Belle: OK. Well … I’m selling them.
Me: What?
La Petite Belle: Yeah. I’m selling all my earrings to my friends.
(At this point, I’m picturing money changing hands on the playground. Tiny boxes being hidden in backpacks.)
Me: Baby, you can’t sell your earrings. You’ve worn them.
But, in all honesty, what second-grader wouldn’t want to buy a pair of used earrings?
Wonder how much money she could make. Maybe this will work.
Next … partly-used deodorant sticks & half-full bottles of shampoo.
Ya’ll are going to be set for life if she can work it out and pull it off…
So funny! I love how kids minds work. 🙂
Hey, I’ve seen those partially used bottles of shampoo at yard sales.
She’s an entreprenuer.

Look at her inventiveness, lol!! Smart kid!
My youngest was around 7 and told me that she was going to pay for college. I thought, that’s cool.
I asked her how she was going to get all that money.
She said she was going to sell her art work on the street in front of our house.
I explained that every mom on our street already had tons of “art” from their own kids. I hated to rain on her parade, but that’s life.
Now she’s 13 and wants to be a fashion designer or the next Ann Coulter.
She cracks me up.
I’m thinking she needs her own ebay account. 🙂
Seriously… I think every mom’s car should come with its own tape recorder. Funny.
hey, i think that is great…it’s her very own little garage sale!!!
That was cute! It’s funny how children think about things. You have a nice blog. I found young through the top 100 christian blogs listing.
Let her at it – let’s see how much she makes! You’ve definitely got a little entrepreneur on your hands – she’s going to go far.
I have some old earrings I could probably part with – how much you think the girls in her class would pay for them????!!!!
Awesome! Look out ebay!
