I’m the type of person that can’t just do one thing.
I get bored easily.
I can’t sit still for very long. (probably why my posts aren’t lengthy … if they get too long, I get tired of listening to my own writing)
It’s just part of who I am.
I even get distracted from the first thing I’m doing, by moving on to the second and third thing … going back to finish the first … realizing I need to finish the second … and so on and so on.
Case in point: The four books I’m reading right now … at the same time … count ’em … four books.
I think they say a lot about me. I love reading about strong women. I’m constantly trying to get healthy and fit. And, I always desire to know more of who God is and more about who He wants me to be.
This was one of Beau’s Christmas presents for me. I really wanted to read it. So far, so good.
I have a slight obsession with purchasing cookbooks and health/diet books. This one’s great because it’s not a diet, just a new way of thinking about food.
I’m only on the second chapter of this book, but all in all, love it.
And, now I’m onto the book of Ephesians located in the best book ever.
Read any good books lately? I’m looking to add a fifth one.
Don’t forget to enter my king cake, coffee, and Saints shirt giveaway!! Deadline is this Saturday.
I just finished Crazy Love. That book changed me, and I never want to be the same again.
I can barely get through the newspaper each day. I don't know how you read so many books at one time.
"The Prodigal God" by Tim Keller — our small group is going through it right now and it is totally rockin' my world.
All I can say is my posts must make you crazy. 🙂
And between Jodie's and your comments, I think I'm gonna have to get my hands on that Crazy Love book.
Yup.
How on earth do you read 4 books at once, lady?!
Reading/Studying 'Created To Be His HelpMeet' by Debi Pearl…..it is kickin my rear in ways I never thought of….
I will say, it is packed with scripture, but it is very conservative…like a mile and ahalf more consevative than me. BUT, it's good sometimes to ask hard questions like Do I live & believe the way I do because of my culture OR becuase that's what God designed? 95%–VERY good. It's offended me in a good way mulitple times 🙂
I recently read The Secret Life of Bees. Great writing!!

I read crazy love several months ago and LOVED it too. 🙂
I so have ADD. I always get distracted in the middle of a project, start a new one, realize I have abandoned the old one – get back to it, start another one. Yep.
I have to go get somehting out of the oven and finish nursing. See ya.
I have 6 going right now. Always the Bible, reading the book of Mark right now.
Hello, My Name Is God by Jeremy Pearsons
The Life of George Washington Carver
Spiritual Authority
God's Master Plan For Your Life
Seven Pillars of Health
Just finished reading The Time Traveler's Wife & Dear John.
Wanted to read them before I saw the movies!
The Time Traveler's Wife is awesome!! I recommend it 100% more than the movie. However there is some intimate parts and some iffy language.
i have never heard of crazy love. off to check it out now.
i am reading OPEN, andre agassi's autobiography. i am a tennis fan. 🙂
I finally got caught up on all my books. I only have 1 going right now for my book club. Don't know if I would recommend it as I'm only in the 4th chapter.
I do have a Sarah Palin book waiting for me :}
I'm reading Sarah Palin's book to right now, along with 2 or 3 others too.
Just finished "Choosing Gratitude" by Nancy Leigh DeMoss and am working to make personal application with the 30-day devotional she included. It's excellent!
I love Crazy Love! I'd also suggest Trusting God by Jerry Bridges. It's one of those books that hurts to read, but really changes your heart.
