So we didn’t have any taco shells in the house, but we did have corn tortillas. Beau was determined to make “homemade” hard taco shells with those tortillas. I told him to go ahead and try, thinking they probably wouldn’t come out that great.
Here he is working his magic.

I must say I am mortified at how dirty my stove is and that I’m posting it for everyone to see. Here he is frying those tortillas up and ever so carefully forming them into shells.

Here is his wonderfully made-up taco shell holder … pretty creative I must say.

And the best part of all of this was that they were the most delicious taco shells I ever tasted. He has vowed that we will never buy regular taco shells again, but we will make our own.
Muy Bueno!
And yes, he is wearing a “Biggest Loser” t-shirt as he’s making greasy, fried taco shells. It was a one of a few moments of weaknesses we’ve been experiencing.
