I have a tiny compulsion.
I find it very hard to function without one of these.
I’ve been known to completely change my plans if I don’t have one or have forgotten one of these at home.
You must know what I’m talking about because I’m sure you share my same compulsion.
LISTS
Whether it be a “TO DO” or just a regular old “GROCERY” list, I’ve gotta have one.
I’ve been known to purchase items I do not need without this list, and due to the fact that my memory is fading, I’ve been known to simply forget to go to the bank or stop by the post office or even pay a bill without the list.
THE LIST IS LIFE. (seriously) I cannot function without it.
Currently, I am working on a “TO DO TODAY LIST,” “THANKSGIVING GROCERY LIST,” “THANKSGIVING MENU LIST,” “CHRISTMAS SHOPPING LIST,” and “CHRISTMAS HOUSE PREPARATION LIST.” (Note to self: Don’t forget to add find something for “Dare to Wear” to your list.)
Without these lists, my mind feels jumbled up with thoughts and things I need to remember. With these lists, my mind seems organized and my thoughts are in neat rows, except when I forget something to put on these lists and then have to add it, and then my whole system is messed up. That just sounded like mental patient material. But, seriously, I’m not crazy. I just need lists. That’s all.
Am I the only one?
I just remembered that I have a couple of awards I need to pick up. Don’t worry. They’re on one of the lists.
I do post-it lists. I have dozens floating around my desk and stuck to the side of my purse. Sigh…lol.
How does anyone function withOUT a list? I live by a list and a calendar – even our vacations are a “schedule-o-fun”. Yes, it’s sad. Very sad. Darn type A personality….
Yes, I scrawl my lists anywhere there is a blank spot of paper. My purse is a jumbled mass of old lists and receipts that resulted from those lists.
Emailing you now about tomorrow! 🙂
Lists make life so much better. I even make likes for my hubby, not that he reads them or actually uses them…
Oh my. I honestly cannot function without them. My lists have lists. And, I used to make fun of my mamma when she’d lose “the list” and we’d have to tear the car apart to find it. Now, I am the list-losing mama. No, seriously. It’s bad. And, there’s no better feeling than crossing something OFF the list! (Except maybe writing it down JUST so you can cross it off!)
I need a list, but I never make a list. I am crazy. Maybe I need a personal listmaker…
I have only become a list person as I hit my 40’s out of necessity. My mom was a HUGE list person (maybe why I am not) and I thought that if my husband her the word “list” one more time before our marriage…he would call it off!! ha!
I’m with Lois Lane…lots of post-it lists. I have to have a grocery list or I will for sure forget something. And then there are the mental lists, which don’t always work out so well. So yeah…you’re not alone.
That is the main reason that I have to cell phone that I have. I can add “tasks” to my phone and I have it with me all the time. Calendar, tasks, lists…..
I LOVE MY PHONE – I WOULD NOT FUNCTION WELL WITHOUT IT!!!
The almighty list. Been known to ruin plenty of days just by its absence.
I have weened myself away from the list but I HAVE to have it at Christmas. No way around it.
You know, I used to be extreme with list making and then I swore it off only to now know that I need balance.
You may enjoy using a PlannerPad(dot com) ..they are designed to funnel list items. I’ve really enjoyed them, and my sister who is also a listaholic cant function without it.
I never use a list…my mind is as sharp as a tack…bwahahahaha 😉
kidding. replace sharp as a tack with cloudy and confused.
I love a good list.
I List is Life. Amen, Sister.
Guilty. You should see the purse I just cleaned out. 😉
Cannot. Live. Without. The. List.
Except that I forget it at home most of the time.
I’d like to think the act of MAKING the list would come in handy in the remembering department – but not so much.
I’m much better at forgetting than remembering.
There might just be a post there.
I am a total list-girl too! But, how come the most important stuff never hits the list (for me at least)? Like spend time with kids, devotion, prayer, remember the smells and smiles…
