So … my last post turned out to be way more controversial than I thought it was. Wow.
The majority of people that commented here and on Facebook were in complete agreement. Thanks for supporting me when I was just speakin’ the truth. I stand by my views and what the Bible says about modesty because this is a Biblical issue. Sorry … that’s the truth again.
Some people got from my post that I was against bikinis which I NEVER said. In fact, in the comments section, I said I have a bikini that I don’t wear in the company of certain people out of concern for their vision. But, I do have one. And, I was on the hunt for a modest bikini because most bikinis out there right now are way too skimpy. That’s just the way it goes.
Well, I found the most awesome website – unique-vintage.com
I love vintage-style bathing suits to begin with. Who wouldn’t love to have that Marilyn Monroe look? I love these suits! It might have something to do with the beautiful Marilyn in them, but love the style.
Here’s the vintage-style bikini I ordered.
See? Modest. And cute. We’ll see how it turns out (fingers crossed). Hope I don’t have to return it.
Look at these other adorable ones! Love them!
The site also has dress, separates, shoes, & accessories. You won’t be sorry if you go by and visit.
You’re welcome.
I have always been able to find a modest and nice fitting suit at Land's end..and they are well made and they last for a long time, bonus!!!
Oh my gosh, those are ADORABLE!!! That black one is precious!!!
Super cute! I have a mommy suit and a bikini that is for backyard use only. I had to explain to my 13 yr old the reason she can't wear a bikini even though all her friends do (temptation of the boys). Your post backed me up! Thanks!
Wow! Lovely!
I've managed to get a similar effect by wearing a tankini which has short-type bottoms, but it's not as cute as these!
Oh fun! Love them.
I read your previous post and really, really appreciated it. There was SO much I wanted to say, but didn't comment because it would've been more like another post than a comment. 😉
This subject is kind of near to my heart. Our culture is desensitizing girls to the dignity of modesty and it is so sad. It also has a huge effect on guys and how they view women.
Dave and I are working on writing a blog post together about the effects of pornography (and seriously, there are magazine covers, billboards, and scantily clad women everywhere who pretty much quality under that word…). It has affected us and we are really hoping to get a message of hope out there as well as help in waking people up to the problem and how they can be the solution.
Any way… yeah, posting in the comment section.
