Thank God!
I am not Catholic nor do I celebrate Lent or Mardi Gras. I’ve posted about this multiple times and about my beliefs here.
But, I do celebrate the eating of the beloved king cake!
I’ve given away 3 king cakes over the last few years and posted a recipe for this seasonal pastry over on the Mama Belle Cooks tab. You can try that if you’ve never had one (Pillsbury also has an easier mini-cake version.), but your best bet is to win one here.
Because honestly, the king cakes made from the bakeries down here are the BEST! Meche’s is my favorite (for all you locals … you may have another favorite I’d love to hear about.).

I enter your King Cake giveaway every year, cause I am always like. "what is this thing they call the king cake?!" never heard of it before your blog. Therefore, I do not know what filling I prefer. – But it would be a treat to find out. 🙂
