Enter my hubby …
He’s on a rampage.
I actually caught him measuring the distance between each hanger.
He has announced that he will only be using white hangers in his closet (except for the three on the end there … he ran out).
I won’t show you the picture of how he folded his underwear so perfectly in some sort of tri-fold pattern, and then, informed me that that was how he liked them folded. Guess I just got out of folding his underwear.
When he starts putting his shirts in color order, descending from light to dark, left to right, call me. I’ll take you out under the cover of darkness.
My husband is the same way. He wants the white plastic ones too. He’ll even take a shirt off a hanger in my closet so he can have all white. He also has his divided (with a plastic divider) between short/long sleeved/dress/casual.
I’ve long given up trying to put his clothes up. I just leave them in front of his closet on a bench for him to put up.
Hey don’t rag on us OCD’ers! just gotta love ’em! I only use white plastic hangers and all of our closets look like his! I love it! Tell your husband way to go for me!!!! LOL
My husband is NOT a neat person…but he is INSANE about his folding. He worked at Gap in college, and APPARENTLY he knows the best way to fold. Which works for me, cause I loathe folding clothes!
I have been married to this for 20 years…… LOL… but he uses wooden hangers…
Gotta admit, that IS a nice-looking closet. 🙂 [Well, except for the 3 hangers on the end that did indeed catch my eye. Tell him to buy some more white ones and quit slackin’. I mean come on, go big or go home, man.] 🙂
I love looking at pictures of organized closets. Mine doesn’t look like the magazines because I have more laziness in my DNA than I have OCD, but I still like to look.
Whew, I guess I should count myself lucky. My husband doesn’t care what color of hanger or how close together they are – he just wants them t be hung so that he doesn’t have to iron them! His socks, on the other hand, have to be organized just so.
I got two words for you:
Wonder Hanger.
I saw it on Tv and bought my MIL a box and now plan to get them for us!

hey….I think I would like that and be able to get out of folding or hanging…my OCD husband just caved to my messiness and has learned to adapt!! I think I like your way better! ha!
A mid-life crisis perhaps? Just looking at that row of evenly spaced hangers gave me a terrible urge to shove them all to one side! I might not be able to control myself 😛
Wow!! I think I would mess with his head a little and turn every other hanger backwards or something!! He he! BTW, my hubby folds his socks weird and therefore I get out of folding white clothes!! All I can say is yay for us!
I’m not gonna lie. I like it. I have to just shut my husbands closet door…big fat mess.
He can come to my house and organize my closets and cabinets, etc. I don’t mind the OCD! I have to admit in my pantry I insist all labels face out . . . it makes it much easier to see at a glance what we need.

Sleeping with the enemy – ooh, I haven’t seen that in a long time.
Sadly I have resorted to the color coding in all closets due to the fact that my kids can’t find ANYTHING. So much easier and no more “Mom, where is my….”
Well, that and my OCD has kicked into overdrive and shows no signs of slacking :}
