In the end, Cap’n Crunch won out due to the main difference being Fiber One just had more fiber. No, duh. But, more calories and the same amount of sugar. Hmm …
After knowing this, unless you have a regularity problem, why would you not choose the cap’n?
Not the same. Fiber One amounts are for 1 cup and the Cap'n Crunch is for only 3/4 cup.
I would still choose the Cap'n though.

Fiber One is one of the worst, biggest "scam", "nutritious" products out there! Now read all of the different kinds of sugars in the ingredients… usually at least 10 different sugars. With all of the other "junk" in it, any other "nutrients" are null and void in the body. You'd do better by eating cardboard if you just want more fiber… but don't get me started… you know I co-authored a Bible-based family nutrition and health program/curriculum that is one of the most exhaustive nutrition reference guides out there… sorry… now I'm off my soap box… but if you aren't eating for nutrition in the morning, go for the Cap'N!!! That used to be my favorite! 🙂
oooooh I am soo not a fan of cap'n crunch….cept the PB one..give me plain ol cheerios any day of the week!
We are Honey O fans. You know, the off brand of Cheerios? Lol — we're more concerned with the cost than the health issue (well, I doubt we'd have count chocokla in my house since my husband's diabetic, but you get the picture…). Found out I can get a monstrous bag of Honey O's for $5. It was like heaven. LOL!!

The fiber has more benfits than just regularity.
It leaves you feeling fuller longer which should reduce the need ("want") to snack later.
I'll take the Captain Crunch too! Of course my actual pick is Lucky Charms.

As an on and off Weight Watchers girl for over 10 years I TOTALLY struggle with these decisions too. While I KNOW I'm supposed to go with low sugar/ high fiber, when you look at the calorie difference, sometimes I totally dig into Matt's Crunch Berries or other naughty cereal. I know the fiber is supposed to make you more full and is better for you, but at that calorie rate you can almost have two bowls for the calories of one! HAHA!
