No, I have not become a drug addict … I got a cortizone shot today! I feel 100% better and was even able to sing for our first Wednesday service, which is an all praise & worship night! I did struggle a bit with my voice, but made it through OK.
I got tagged by Jessie at Overflow of a Forgiven Soul. This is a new blogging friend of mine with a sweet blog. I like reading her reflections on God’s Word and about her precious family. You should pay her a visit.
The tag is “7 Things.” It is fun to hear tidbits, facts, unique things about your blogging friends. I have to tag 7 people, so if you don’t like to be tagged, just ignore me. You won’t hurt my feelings … just be a party-pooper. So here it goes.
The Rules:
1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
1. For the longest time, I had a huge fear of biscuit cans. I just found out why a couple of years ago. A can had exploded on me as a child. So, usually Beau pops the cans for me.
2. Beau says I have a “triangle toe.” My baby toe is very small and a little pointy. I don’t see a problem with the way my toe looks, but obviously it’s peculiar to him.
3. Speaking of feet, I have to rub my foot, just one, on Beau’s leg or the sheet, bed, or even just nothing in order to fall asleep at night. I think it might have something to do with my mom rocking me so much as a baby. Do you think?
4. I have done something that a lot of women would love to do. I had a rhinoplasty – “nose job.” I actually had it done when I was 14 because I had broken my nose as a baby and had a major deviated septum and breathing problems, not to mention a bump on my nose from the break.
5. Speaking of surgeries, I’ve also had knee surgery. I have a deteriorating knee – torn meniscus, gristle flaking off of my kneecap, and arthritis. This is due to years and years of dance, cheerleading, and sports. Oh well, I had fun while my knee lasted. But, just to let you know, I still teach step aerobics, kick box, and run. Shhhhh! Don’t tell my orthopedic surgeon.
6. I was totally into 80’s hair bands. (My husband says “was?”) Yes, WAS! Bon Jovi was a favorite and I could still listen to them. They ROCK! I saw them in concert twice. Motley Crue too. This was before my JESUS days!
7. I graduated summa cum laude from Oral Roberts University. So, see … I really am smart.
Here’s who I’m tagging:
3 real-life friends that I’ve just discovered blogged –
1. Jodie at Dark Between the Stars – I always thought she was funny, but now that I read her blog, that fact is confirmed. Her blog is a lot like mine – blogging about family life and other random thoughts.
2. Carlie at Why Ask Why and
3. Teresa at A LIfe at Home – These two ladies know a thing or two about saving money and shopping on a budget. I’ve learned lots of little tips and ideas from reading their blogs. They actually lead a small group at our church about couponing, meal planning, etc.
These were my very first blogging friends and I still love their blogs:
4. Pianomomsicle – She’s so cute and she’s got a little bun in the oven. I like reading about her sweet family and her everyday life. She works at a church like me, only she’s a pianist.
5. Becky at Boys Rule My Life – She was the person who issued me my first tag, so right back at ya’ sister. She has 3 adorable boys and I like reading about how they’re growing and learning. She’s also a great organizer!
6. Jill at Live Laugh Blog – Another precious lady. She has some of the cutest babies and I love the way she blogs with such honesty. We were instant friends.
7. A new blog I just found and love – Life in the Parsonage
8. Amy at Permission to Peruse – She also writes the One Tree Hill blog. I’ve never actually seen the show, but she’s pretty smart to be making some bucks by blogging. I also love her honesty and she has got lots of funny observations and thoughts.
Mama Belle, I love the way you handled your tag by writing out descriptions of the blogs of the people you tagged. That’s great! I’ve never seen anybody do that before. I l’aime dat. (And since you didn’t grow up in Ville Platte I’ll translate that for you. It means I like that. 🙂 I know. My skill level is fearfully impressive.)
Also, All together now: All hail King Cortizone. 🙂 The miracles of cortizone are rivalled only by Jesus. 🙂 OH, I kid!
I just realized it’s 7:30 and we’re all still in our jammies. And Noah is still in bed.
Gotta go. 🙂
hey, thanks! i’ll work on it today!
done! now I gotta go fix the kids some lunch! they are starving! 🙂
You know, i read your foot thing, but i didn’t think about it when i wrote mine. i think i subconsciously was shouting out to yours:)
Hey there! Email me your mailing address for the SCC CD you won on my blog. 🙂
Ok, I do the foot rubbing thing too…weird! But it is very comforting. Hmmmm.
