Why is it that whenever my girls get candy for holidays, I am the one who eats 40% of it while they’re sleeping? I love Laffy Taffys! This picture shows what I have eaten while reading a few blogs. This is sickening! Am I the only mother that goes through her kids’ candy? Come ‘on, you know you do it too. Don’t make me feel guilty. They don’t need the candy anyway, right? It’s bad for their teeth and not to mention, it goes against everything I’m teaching them about good, healthy eating habits and exercise. Anyway, my thinking is that the faster I eat it, the quicker it will be out of my house. Makes sense to me. And what’s crazy about this candy-eating is that all weekend long, I have been encouraging ladies to get in shape at our ladies’ aerobics small group that I lead at church. Crazy, huh? My teaching partner and I lugged a 100 lb. wheelbarrow full of fat onto the stage to illustrate how much total weight the ladies in our class have lost. I’m going to post a link tomorrow to the actual church service so that you can see it. You’ll also get to hear me sing. Don’t get too excited. I don’t want you to be disappointed. Anyway, don’t judge me too harshly on the Laffy Taffys. I’ll do a few extra kicks and punches in kickboxing tomorrow to work them off.
Get this candy outta here!!

I’d like to do Valentine’s without candy. Is that possible? Yes, I have been known to raid their bags. Sad but it’s so tempting . . .
You and I are one in the same with the candy and the irrational idea of eating it so it’s out of the house faster – why can’t I just throw it away!?!?!?!!
In fact I was so bad this past week – I ate milk chocolate. Why is that so bad? Well, I’m still nursing our infant and he’s extremely allergic to milk. His eczema is flaring red today. Bless his heart. (If he has milk products directly, he has an anaphylactic reaction – don’t know if I’ve told you that or not…) Anyway, BAD BAD MOMMY!!!
I think I’ll go throw it away right now. or maybe not. Oh, why is it so hard?!!!?! LOL!
have a great day!
LOL – I had to laugh out loud at this because you’ve hit on pretty much every excuse that I use when I eat my kids’ candy… 🙂
