Last night we had no kiddos thanks to good ol’ Mom. So, we had a few friends over for a game night, which we do from time to time.
Here’s a pic of Jodie and me. Go over to her blog if you haven’t already. She’s a witty little thing. She’s gonna kill me for posting this because we were a little too shiny. MAKE-UP PLEASE!
And just for your viewing pleasure … our resident hottie, our associate pastor, who actually wanted to make it to the blog. So, David, here ya’ go. Sorry ladies, he is married. But, seriously, he is an incredible guy and we all love him. He takes a lot of flack and is usually the butt of every joke. I think every church has one of those, but he takes it like a pro. We love you, David.
We played this … (It’s a must-have. Very fun!)
Here’s the SUPER-EASY recipe just for you:
1 devil’s food cake
1 jar caramel topping
1 can condensed milk
1 tub Cool Whip
8 Butterfingers, refrigerated, then crushed
Bake the cake as directed. Heat the caramel topping and combine with the condensed milk. While the cake is still warm, make holes in it with a meat fork. Pour caramel mixture on top. When cake is cool, spread Cool Whip on top and top with crushed Butterfingers. Refrigerate for 3 hours.
Now, I’m home alone. I know you are all extremely jealous. And I will be alone until about 3:30 p.m. And here’s the greatest thing about that … my house is already clean.
But, I still have a butt-load of laundry. I guess I should get to that. It’s definitely time to do the laundry when your hubby starts asking for things like … white t-shirts, socks, underwear. Well, he doesn’t actually ask me to wash, he says to himself as he’s getting dressed… “I don’t think I have any white t-shirts.” In man terms, that means … “Woman, do some laundry!” So, I’m off.

It sounds like you had a great time. The cake looked yummy and easy to make!
Yes, I am jealous of you and your clean house that is all quiet!
I hope your day goes well – and make sure to get hubby some clean whites!
FUN! And I’m way jealous that you two get to be real life friends!!…and the cake, and the home alone thing…jealous!
“A little too shiny…” hahaha! You crack me up. You both look cute as can be.
Love catchphrase! And I think my blood sugar shot through the roof just looking at that cake. Sinfulness.
You, are…. you are just mean. How could you do that to me? With things like Photoshop at your fingertips. Help a sista out. I mean, come on! You gotta hook me up! Get some of the sheen out of there! Make it black and white. SOMETHING!!
I mean, seriously, we brought SUSHI!!
That’s it. We’re never bringing sushi again.
Oh yumm.
Seriously. That’s yummy.
Jodie,
Sorry. Seriously, you’re cute no matter what. And me and Photo Shop do not get along.
Love ya’ anyway.
1. Oh How I L.O.V.E. Game Night!! We don’t get to do it nearly enough.
2. I have never played CatchPhrase. Maybe a little mid-week shopping in the works for me!
3. That cake sounds delicious! I have a recipe that is similar, but instead of Butterfingers, I use Heath Bars. I will definitely have to try the Butterfingers…VERY SOON! YUM-O!
Looks like you had a fun time.
I have to make that butterfinger cake. Thanks for the recipe.
I found you from Julie’s blog
It’s nice to meet you.
