Here are the girls ready for their first day. I think we may be single-handedly keeping Disney in business – Hannah Montana messenger bag and lunch box, Camp Rock messenger bag and lunch box. Personally, I would have preferred Hello Kitty or just a plain ol’ Jansport bag. But, of course, Mom does not know what’s cool.

So, they’re gone for the day and I actually already miss them, even though they were starting to drive me a bit insane with their bickering.
I sent them off with … “Today is the first day of the year,” which didn’t make any sense. K Belle said, “You just said it’s the first day of the year.” Thanks, Smarty pants. I rephrased … “I mean, today is the first day of the best school year you ever had.” Better.
So, what shall I do today? Shall I get a massage? A pedicure? Go to lunch with friends? Shopping? Just simple relaxing?
NO.
I’m still doing the same thing I was doing before … laundry, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, reorganizing the entryway closet, cooking, toting kids around. Same thing. Nothing’s changed. Actually life has just gotten a little more hectic … school, soccer, piano, dance, church, and lots of school activities.
Excuse me, while I watch Jennifer Lopez explain how she’s training for a triathlon after just giving birth to twins. Seriously? Now, I feel more like a failure than before. Thanks, Jennifer.
