When I got to work this morning, I had this on my desk from my sweet friend, Jane.
Only one of the greatest bands/singers in the world … 2 CDs with 37 songs on them! Love it! Ann Wilson has one of the greatest rock voices of all time, next to my other favorite, Pat Benatar. As a kid, I had (or should I say my mom had because I’m not that old) this album …
which I sang to, probably every day (obviously practice for singing praise & worship). I would sit with the album cover and sing out some “Barracuda” and “Crazy on You” and “Magic Man.” I had no idea what the lyrics meant at that time. Isn’t it funny that when we listen back to some of the songs we sang as kids, we were clueless to their meaning? Funny. Anyway, they still rock. And I still wish I could sing like Ann Wilson. Here’s a little taste of her amazingness.
I love that sound of music also, but I’ll have to admit that I only recently heard “barracuda” while playing guitar hero!
But How sweet of that friend…that’s paying attention to detail~
Heart is going to be in concert with Journey in Atlanta and Charlotte at the beginning of August. We are trying to work it out to go. I want to so bad.
Oh! LOVE! It is my secret fantasy to break out into “Crazy On You” as I tear it up (in a good way) onstage in my rocker attire, crowd sreaming, going wild, guitar ripping it up…..but dont tell anyone.
