Well … my big weekend is over.
Joie de Vivre was a huge success. We had almost 1200 women in attendance!
When God birthed this dream in me almost 5 years ago, I had no idea what He had planned. All I knew was that I had this vision of a building filled with women, all with lifted hands worshiping God … women joined together in community, cheering each other on! I had a vision of a time where women would come together and grow in God’s Word while being challenged and inspired to change their life and the lives of those around them.
I think this weekend I got to see this dream become reality. I saw a glimpse of what God wants to do through the women of our church and community. And, I say a “glimpse” because I think God has so much more planned.
Dream One Realized & Fulfilled!
On to Dream Two …
About 3 years ago, I heard a phenomenal woman of God speak at a nearby conference. She really spoke to my heart and to the hearts of the women I had brought with me.
I thought … The women of our church need to hear her. Our church needs to hear her.
Her name is Charlotte Gambill.
It was a dream for me to be able to bring her to our church this past weekend. It was a dream just to spend time with her and gain wisdom from her. She is simply amazing! And, I hope to be able to bring her back again soon and visit her conference in the UK this summer (pray for me).
If you ever have a chance to hear this lady, DO IT!
Dream Two Realized & Fulfilled!
Oh … and there was this other little lady there … just Natalie Grant. No big deal. Just pure amazement!
And she REALLY is the sweetest thing! I pretty much love her!
If there is a Dare to Be night near you, don’t miss out! GO!
Daphne, I just want to say thank you, really. I am sure that there was more work involved than any of us can imagine. I was so blessed this weekend. I have been hearing the whisper of God to enter into a season of service. It's a scary place to be. There are so many reasons (okay, excused)that I could list why I CAN'T do this or that. Somehow, we tend to get this notion that our service has to be BIG in order to be meaningful or effective. But, I realize that I can serve, (and do, more than I thought) in the little things. Those little things CAN and are used by God to lead to BIG things.
Fun!!! Glad you had so many dreams come true this weekend!!
