Last night, the girls decided to put on one of their many shows for us. K Belle explained the policies of turning off all cell phones, no talking, no video-taping. She introduced the show as the story of Moses being performed through dance. K Belle was in charge of production … costume and set design (which included a fake tree, baby doll, basket, and blanket).
And here’s the princess now as she dances among the tree and water … the same child that watches “The Ten Commandments” on a weekly basis. Think she’s watching it a little too much?
And here’s where the real DRAMA occurs … Splinter in the foot! She proceeds to take it out with her teeth, to which I said, “Gross! Stop! … After I take this picture.” What is it about kids and splinters?
You’d swear we were killing her … just to get, what we thought was, a little splinter. Don’t think I’m a bad mom for taking these pictures. I was trying to show her how over-dramatic she is about stuff.
The Splinter … yeah, we couldn’t see anything either.
Biting down on Daddy’s hand while Mommy tries to get it out with tweezers. I just couldn’t see anything.
Well, the show must go on … even with the splinter.
Notice her right foot, where said splinter appears to be.
Imagine our horror when this is what we pulled out of her foot right before bed … only the longest splinter I’ve ever seen. So, I guess the DRAMA was real. That’s when you have to go over the old “Boy Who Cried Wolf” story.
OK, so she’s a great actress AND a truth-teller. Well, at least we know where she gets the acting and dancing abilities from. Check out these smooth moves …
Forget it, ladies … he’s mine! This was a video for a Father’s Day message four years ago. Beau wanted me to let you know that he is one of the funniest people on the planet. Hmm. And he’s modest too.
You just crack me up.
That’s hysterical!!!
Thanks for the laugh! LOVE IT!
Katelyn and I ROFL – that video is great! Too funny! Katelyn said, “He is a goober!” Take that as a great compliment from a teen ager – If her daddy did that she would never come out of the house! I too thought it was AWSOME and think more videos are in order!
OMG this is great! I love the way she goes from agony to acadamy award worthy performance so smoothly LOL
And the video is great!

I have been reading this blog for a while now and absolutely LOVE it. You crack me up. I am a friend of Carlie’s and linked in from her blog. I have been wondering why you look sooooooo familiar. I finally figured it out…….I think we worked at Brother’s in the mall together back in the day! Did you happen to work there sometime around 1990?
Ok, there is so much comment-worthy stuff in this post I don’t know where to start. I love how you said “After I take this picture”…yeah, bona fide blogger right there.
And your man? Oh my. I might have to agree with his own assessment of himself…funniest guy on the planet. Love it!
OK, I’m laughing out loud…I hope I don’t wake up my hubby as I’m watching a man dance on my computer…that could just be weird to explain 🙂 Hi-larious! And, your daughters are just too cute! I can’t believe she really likes the Ten Commandments that much.
BTW – I’ll be accepting my award tomorrow with a post of some of your fave posts since I’ve been following you! Thanks again 🙂
Drama drama! Your house must be full of laughs…and tears likely. 🙂
I am bestowing the blog of distinction award upon you…come check it out. 🙂
That video is hilarious! Your kids are destined to be stars! Sorry about the splinter . . .
Oh Uh Uh! That man doesn’t need modesty. Not an ounce. He really is the funniest person on earth. Men with a great sense of humor are just HOT!
sorry, did i go there?
That splinter was HUGE. Bless her little disbelieved heart. All I have to say is….VINDICATED!
My little Diva Daughter often gets vindicated around here too. I am not very good at dealing with drama.
Fun post!!

OH stop it- stop it!
Princess and I watched the video 3 Times!!!
We still can’t believe it!
OK, this whole post is hysterical. My girls & I were roaring at the video. Your must be so proud of that hubby. My kids would be calling child and family serivces for abuse if my hubs tried that. Well, that and he would probably hurt himself doing some of those moves.
I love it. That video is great. Our church is always doing crazy videos like that all the time. Did you guys do that for church? Your husband is pretty funny. I always tell my husband how funny I am too.
That is so hilarious! I loved that!
Wow, I am SO glad that I scrolled down.
That is funny beyond belief!
OK I am going to “kwout” you on my blog! I have coined the term “boxman” to encompass my delivery guys that come to my house to deliver daily (freebies and deals) and also am a METARIE / NATCHITOCHES LOUISIANA girl! I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE VIDEO and of course am linking to you!
