My best gift would be a book. No one ever asks me what I want and when they do and I say a certain book I never get it. I get a blender, or coffee maker which I already have three of. When my sister bought me a writer’s book I wanted it touched me because she listened and acknowledged my dream.

The best gift I ever got (aside from my hubby and my children) is a sweatshirt my husband had made up for me. He wrote me a poem and had someone turn it into a sweatshirt for me. I LOVE that sweatshirt. 10+ years later, and a few stains and rips and I still wear it. It came from his heart.

My best gift…hmmm… this past week was my birthday and my hubby sent me to the store to buy flowers for my pots and when I came home, he had baked a cake complete with pink frosting. That was a great gift.

My 18th birthday arrived amidst a lot of family difficulty, and would have gone past, utterly unnoticed, were it not for my best friend, who had flowers (made to look like a sundae, so cute) delivered to my last class of the day. It’s been a long time since then, and I have been given some truly lovely, thoughtful gifts over the years; but for the sweetness and sincerity of the gesture, I’ll always remember the flowers from Annie the best. (It goes without saying that she is still my best friend!)

I would have to say the best gift I have ever received was from my husband and the kids on Mother’s Day 2006. It was 4 collage picture frames (black ones from Target that I had been eyeing for several weeks). My husband took a bunch of pictures of the kids over a course of a few weeks and had them printed in black and white to go with those black frames. Then chose the perfect pictures to go inside each square. Each child had their own frame of their own pics to give me.
I ABSOLUTELY love it.
And they surprised me with breakfast and presents in bed!!!
It was definitely something that took a lot of time and planning on my husband’s part. I think that’s why it is my favorite!!

Best, or at least most memorable, gift, for my 4th b-day my parents gave me a teddy bear, I was 100% a doll girl so I was so confused as to why they gave me a bear instead of a doll, then they told me it was for my new baby brother (we’d been praying for a baby and the baby we adopted was born 10 days before me b-day, out of state, so it took a few weeks to get him).

The best gift i have ever received was a Willow Tree mother and daughter when I was pregnant with my daughter (the only girl of 4) from my husband. Actually, the best gift he gave me was the daughter (after all those boys hee hee hee)
I would love these! I’ve always wanted to make “gifts in a jar.” The best gift I ever received was a gold ring with a garnet heart – my birth stone – when my husband and I were trying to conceive our first child and I really *thought* we were pregnant but then found out we weren’t… I absolutely wasn’t expecting any present at all but my sweet husband picked me up at work with this darling ring… and that month we *did* get pregnant, so I call it my “miracle ring.” 🙂

The best gift I would have to say was time. This past Valentines Day, which I should add my hubby doesn’t not celebrate. He got off work early and cooked me dinner. He always works evening so this was extra special to have time with him. I was completely surprised!
I would have to say that this year for Christmas when My Mom and Dad donated money to buy malaria nets and school books in Our Family’s name. This was the first year they actually listened to the fact that we really didn’t need or want anything and the money went to a good cause instead. Very heartwarming.

the best gift i have ever received…i feel blessed to have received so many things. free grace and salvation would have to be at the top. but my engagement ring would be the top if you are talking about an actual physical thing…but the best part of that gift was the commitment and pledge that came with it!

The best gift I got was for my birthday last year. My mom gave me an onyx ring that had belonged to her mother. I love it and wear it all the time, I plan on giving it to my daughter someday.
My grandmother gave me a set of three paperback books that she thought I’d love. It was right after her divorce and she was completely broke. The books were in a lovely little bag and tucked around with pink and purple tissue paper.
It was a small gift, but it meant so much.

In high school a friend gave me my favorite book and the most adorable stuffed grover (from sesame street) i know it doesn’t take much 🙂 but it was so very thoughtful and so very me at the time.

The best gift ever was my new bible that my parents got for me two christmases ago. It is a “real” bible with leather bounding with my new married name on the front. I love it. I’ve gone through two pregnancies, two births, and two little girls with it.

The best gift I ever recieve dwas actually during Halloween. The neighbors started “booing” each other! You make a goody bag for two neighbors. You leave it on their door step with a ghost picture. In return the negihbor who was booed puts up their ghost picture int heir window then boos two more neighbors. I really don’t remember wha was in the bag, but it got the whole community involved and got the neighbors to actually become neighbors.
