I’m going on a girls’ trip. Yay! We’re going to Dauphin Island, AL, which is about 3 1/2 hours from here, and not far from Mobile. (Notice Bayou La Batre on the map – that’s where Bubba was from in Forrest Gump – it is a real place!)
One of the girls’ dad’s house is right on the beach … like walk out the back door, you see sand and water. How awesome is that! Here’s a pic of the beach there.
Seven of us girls are going. It’s really a great group. A few of the girls I consider really good friends and the others I want to consider really good friends (just need to get to know them a little better).

Good ole’ Beau will be on his own with the girly-girls. He says that he’s going to make sure the house stays clean, just the way I left it (side-note – Why is it that we clean like crazy women when we’re leaving to go out of town? No one’s going to be here to enjoy the cleanliness of the house.) because he and the girls are going to eat out at every meal and sleep at a hotel. Right, sure you are. We’ll see how they do without Momma. La Petite Belle is already pouring on the guilt about me being gone.
So, I won’t be blogging all weekend, but I will be taking lots of pictures of all my girls and the scenery for all of you that care to see. I will post them Monday along with the winner of my giveaway. I only have one dilemma:

I am soooo jealous. I wish it were me. But have a great time and enjoy your time away from the family. It will make you appreciate them so much more when you are away from them.
I honestly wish I could take all of ya’ll with me. Would we have a good time or what?
