Beau mentioned something about Jesus coming back soon.
K Belle looked a little down at this point. She said that she had so many things left to accomplish before Jesus came back.
I said something about all of those things not mattering when Jesus appears on the clouds.
She wasn’t moved by that.
She said, “I want to get my driver’s license.”
This girl’s got goals.
I giggled.
Then, she added in these: wanting to go to college, get a job, get married, and have grandchilden.
OK. That’s better. Scared me for a bit. I thought her only idea of an accomplishment was getting her driver’s license.
I think we all felt the same way she did when our parents or others were talking about Jesus’ return.
It’s only natural to feel this way. It’s all we know. It’s our lives.
But, I’m pretty sure if we REALLY knew what it was going to be like, we’d be begging for that return daily. And, I think as we get older, we want it more.
couldn't agree more!
my loved ones that are not believers are what keep me from saying "come quickly".
I 100% agree with your last sentence. With each year that passes and the more that I read the Word, the more I want to see Jesus face to face. Not that I'm suicidal or want a premature death by ANY means, lol!! I would just like us all to go to heaven at the same time. =)
Amen to your last sentence. And this year has been crazy, crazy weather-wise and everything else. There is a part of me that wants to shout "COME QUICK" from the mountain tops, and then part of me feels like your daughter, I have a lot I want to accomplish before he does. At least I know I'm ready.
