K Belle, one of my super-talented daughters, is off to Louisville, KY today to compete in a National Fine Arts Competition. She’s competing in two categories: Songwriting for which she won merit (top in the state), and Female Vocal Solo.
We’re, of course, so proud.
As we were driving before she left, I told her how proud her Daddy and me were of her. I think she’s probably sick of hearing it, but we just can’t help it. I said, “Whether you win or not, we are STILL so proud of you. Just do your best!” Typical Mommy-advice, I know. But, totally appropriate.
I am unable to post her performance from when she won state, but if we’re friends on Facebook, you might be able to view it by clicking here.
I continue to be amazed by her talent.
She also played keys in Sunday main service for the first time yesterday. She did great! I was thrilled to be up there with her. So cool. God is faithful!
Go, K Belle! I know you’re going to do awesome this week!
