Why, oh why, do I do this to myself? I know you all do it too. We must stop this madness! It’s time to stand up and say “NO, NO, NO!”

Sherried Tomato Soup
6 tablespoons melted butter
1 medium onion, diced
1 46-ounce bottle or can tomato juice
2 14 ounce cans diced tomatoes
1 to 3 tablespoons chicken base
3 to 6 tablespoons sugar
Pinch of salt
Black Pepper
1 cup cooking sherry
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
chopped fresh parsley
chopped fresh basil
Saute diced onions in butter until transluscent. Add canned tomatoes. Add tomato juice, sugar, pinch of salt, and black pepper and stir. Bring to a near boil, then turn off heat. Add in sherry and cream and stir. Add in parsley and basil to taste, adjust other seasoning, and serve with yummy, crusty bread on a cold, blustery, dreary, depressing, rainy, snowy day. Then close your eyes. And give thanks for soups like this.
Get off the computer, and cook me some dinner!
Beau’s comment pretty much says it all.
Don’t let him fool you. Just to let all you girls know … I cooked a delicious dinner of Cheerios and milk for my honey tonight. Actually, he poured the cereal and milk himself.
And before you go judging me, my girls spent the night at my mom’s house, so really, no need to cook. We will probably eat cereal every night when they’re out of the house.
I don’t cook when my kids aren’t home. Me and my DH usually go out for dinner – hint, hint! I think my DH would grab a diet pepsi and a bag of chips if we didn’t.
Just say NO!
Girl, that is way too much cookin!
I think you are an AWESOME MOM AND WIFE! Your hubs is a happy guy – still love the video of him dancing and delivering mail!
Let us all know if the soup is good ~ could be a new recipe for me!
You and your hubby are so hilariously crazy. He has nothing to complain about…cereal is one of the best dinners there is.
That soup – wow. I hope it turns out great, because I’ll be adding it to my collection if you give it the thumbs up.
HA! I feed my kids cereal for supper all the time 🙂 For real.
No one asks me to bring anything unless they want store-bought.
I am really REALLY jealous about the bacon…its the candy of meats, ya know.
Wow, that soup looks incredible! i will definitely be bookmarking it in my recipes folder!
The good news is, there will be hundreds of people who will be happier after eating your bacon and brownies. And fatter. But that’s not the point:)
Ha! Sounds like your hubby and mine would get along JUST FINE!
I had to read the lines about the bacon and brownies twice…I thought they were for the same recipe at first!! lol
Oh, JUST SAY NO takes on a whole new meaning. Bless you
