Tonight’s our “Celebration of Marriage Banquet” at church. I’m going through my closet to decide what to wear. Where’s Stacey and Clinton when you need them? I didn’t buy anything for the occasion, so I’m trying to throw some old dresses on. I never know what to wear to these things. I don’t want to be overdressed. I usually have an outfit vision in my head, but then when I put it on, it never really matches up to my expectations. Do you have visions of outfits in your head or is it just me? My daughter took pictures of me in each of the outfits so that I could truly see what I looked like. I am absolutely not impressed with myself. I guess I should have gone shopping after all. Here are my choices: (Please ignore the ironing board and dog bed in the background. How embarrassing!)
A little too busy and career-like
Too short and teen-looking – I had to put the sweater on because it’s got straps. (may not be appropriate for church)
I like this one, but a little too snug.
Don’t know … sleeves too poofy
I decided to go with this one. It’s alright. I think with some nice jewelry and different shoes it will be better. Again, had to wear the sweater because it’s sleeveless. Am I the only one that thinks sleeveless or straps may not be appropriate for church? Maybe I’m being too churchey.
As long as my hubby likes it, it’ll be OK. We’ll be able to have a nice night out. I even got a sitter so that we can go to a movie afterward. I’ll tell you all how it went tomorrow. Love on your hubby tonight!

As far as the straps/sleeveless thing… I wouldn’t wear something like that to church either. In my humble opinion it’s on the fence of modesty, so I just wouldn’t. Just me. Apparently you, too. 🙂
