When my babies were babies, I could handle poop.
A poopie diaper … no big deal. It was sweet, little baby poop.
Granted, it didn’t smell so sweet, but I could change the diaper without gagging. (Although there was that one time when K Belle had that leak in her diaper that led to other areas … I’ll spare you.)
I even … and I’ll try to put this as lightly as possible … chiseled away at poop with a thermometer due to baby constipation.
I have a very strong constitution.
Nothing really gets me sick.
Until today.
Two poop incidences in one day … neither one of them human.
Beau cleaned out our 420-gallon fish pond and, of course, as luck would have it, needed my help. Curses. (see Soliloquy, no “crap”)
I had to hold some type of pipe thingy for him and in the process, realized I was touching a butt-load (no pun intended) of fish poop.
Ya’ll, fish poop is gross. And totally, gag-worthy.
Then, I even carried, gallons of water filled with fish poop, to empty out in the yard. I was literally grunting and about to hurl several times.
Then, to add insult to injury, Roxy Belle, had a little bout of diarrhea. Beau says probably from drinking some of the fish water. Well, I guess so. Fish poop in, fish poop out.
I’m done with poop for the day.

For sonic….anything!!! I have not tried the new mango limeade…I will have too now!! Cherry limeades are my fav!! one of my worst poop stories is flying from ND to AZ to see my parents with 3 kids under 4 BY MYSELF!!! My then 2 year old had a "blowout", the kind that goes all the way into the shoes…on the plane. I had to hand my infant to an attendant and have someone watch my 4 year old and then attempt to clean up the 2 year old in that teeny little bathroom…all the while with all the passengers holding their noses and probably gagging. I got off the plane in Tucson with him in only a diaper, handed the baby to my mom and burst into tears!!! Hope I win!!!!
We have made a personal family goal of ordering every drink combination POSSIBBLE on the Sonic menu this summer. Lately, I've been on the unsweet tea with mango kick. Or with strawberry. Or with peach.
As for the poop? I think the fish poop's got any story of mine beat!

My son calls the bundt cakes… "butt cakes."
Makes them even more appetizing.

My favorite drink at Sonic is a Dr pepper with Cherry & Vanilla. The last few times I've been there I've gotten the receipt with the survey on it. You do the survey and get a FREE Route 44. No extra purchase necessary. Recently I paid with the FREE Route 44 coupon and got another receipt for another survey! How awesome is that!
Hmmm, fish poo sounds GROSS! I also am not usually bothered by baby poop, but recently after cleaning up a super messy slimy one, I discovered some leftovers lingering under my fingernails, and that really gave me the shudders :).

But we do have lots of poop! I'm still potty training the boy, he needs assittance with his wiping technique. I have to go watch that movie now! I've haven't seen it in ages! I want to see her new one too.
I'm reassured that I'm not the only blogger writing about poop 😉 I guess it just comes with mommy territory. I agree though – much easier to deal with when they're tiny and sweet and snuggly (the kid, that is…not the poop).
This post has great timing. My little guy (20 months) walked up to me today and did the little hand motion he does when he has a diaper full of unpleasantness. I squeezed his diaper a bit…didn't feel anything. So I grabbed the back of his diaper to take a peek…and realized that I'd just stuck my finger in a substance that…well…fingers shouldn't be stuck in.
It was my first poop gag as a mommy. Big day.

Sonic is one of my all-time favorite place, but we don't have any Sonics up here. We also don't have Steak & Shake or Chick Fil-A…NOTHING GOOD UP HERE.

Wow…we just got back from Sonic. We just made the happy hour; only had a few minutes to get my order in. 🙂 It's hard to choose from their drinks and slushies. Especially since they have all those flavors to add. I stuck with an old favorite today; cherry limeade. I haven't tried the mango yet.
Sonic happy Hour ~ oohhhhh ~ I love Sonic. But not Poop. So my comment is on Sonic. Just think how much I need (NEED) (NEED) (NEED) happy hour after this week. 🙂
I had 4 kids in 5 years….on my eldest's 8th birthday, the baby pooped in the potty….yippee…!!!
Also, just couldn't help but chuckle…I usually skim over blogs before really reading them and the whole molten hot fudge bundt cake thing in a post titled 'poop' kind of creeped me out…

OK how weird is this…. I ate a Sonic corndog for supper tonight AND my dad stepped in dog poop while I was talking on the phone with him this afternoon. Seriously, you don't just have Sonic/poop coincidences like that everyday.
That is so funny and as a previous fish tank owner I can relate. It is the fish poop and algae smell combined. I can also relate to poop incidents. Some days I feel that that is all I do(Two kids in diapers and trying to housebreak a puppy) and ask hubbie to help out with one and He is gagging and coughing before he even gets the diaper off. This is a man who sometimes deals with dead bodies. What is the deal? I will never understand some things.
the mango limeade IS to die for. yum!! a friend of mine gets a cranberry vanilla sprite from sonic almost daily. shes says its delicious. i have yet to try it.

Because we have so many animals (Chickens, dogs, cats, gerbils, turtles, and hermit crabs) I deal with poop on a daily basis. So I think I need a delicious drink from Sonic. BTW, hermit crabs are really nasty. So give me some limeade or cherry coke or any of the deliciousness that Sonic has to offer.

Poop – it doesn't bother me yet. I have a 10 month old and a 3 yr old. I am however tired of wiping bums. That is one thing I will not miss when they are older.

Yuck! Fish Poop sounds disgusting!! I had some flashbacks of when we worked side by side at a prior job and had to deal with some gagging poop! Glad that I don't deal with poop anymore. LOL!! I can't wait to drive to my closest Sonic (30 minutes away) to try the Mango Limeade. Sounds great!!

sonic drinks are the best–crushed pellet ice, a jillion flavors, happy hour…and i recently got the bundt cake, and it was actually quite good, gooey chocolate in the middle, whipped cream, cherry on top. yum!
why bundt? why not fluted, circular, unfrostable so you gotta drizzle it on, with a giant hole in the middle, which for me is a giant waste of cake space!

We had fish for the first three years of our marriage and I never could bring myself to come anywhere near the poop. That was a prequisite for me allowing the fish tank to be in the house — Dave handled all the poop. You are a good wife 🙂
And I'd love a gift card to Sonic because everytime I go there I stare long and hard at all the drinks and then end up ordering a Vanilla Coke "because I know I'll like it". If I had a gift card, I wouldn't have to worry about wasting money trying out a flavor I didn't care for 😉
