Take a look at La Petite Belle.

Look a little closer.

What is the deal with my girls getting hurt at school? Look at K Belle’s boo-boo here. Some nasty little boys are continuously hurting my girls. La Petite Belle got this from falling on the concrete when a boy was chasing her. Her hand is also quite scraped up.

Now, here’s the story … she came home with a demerit yesterday. The school the girls attend give demerits for bad behavior, disobedience, etc. After you’ve accumulated four demerits, you get a detention. Thankfully, this is the first demerit she has gotten this year and it’s April. Hallelujah! So, tell me what you think about this?
She has a small problem with one of the little boys in her class. They fight and argue every day. I hear about the things that he does to aggravate her EVERY DAY! And it just so happens that this little boy is the teacher’s child. I’m thinking … La Petite Belle, couldn’t you have picked someone else to have issues with rather than the teacher’s child? Now, the teacher has really been great about all this. She says that they are going to get married one day. Now that you know the background, I can tell you about the incident.
This boy and La Petite Belle were standing in line. They were the only two lined up at the time. No teacher around. He was annoying her and taunting her and putting his hand next to her chin where her boo-boo is. You need to know that the previous day he had squeezed this place on her chin, so she was a little nervous with his hands next to her face. He kept on and kept on and was totally just IN HER FACE. So, guess what she did? Slapped him across the face! I was actually horrified and proud at the same time. Tell me … wouldn’t you have done the same thing? I would! The teacher at the time (actually wasn’t the boy’s mom, but the coach) told me he had to give her a demerit because of the rule book. Hitting or hurting another student is automatic demerit. I can understand that, but I told Katie that she wasn’t going to be punished for this and that she shouldn’t have taken the matter into her own hands, but told the teacher. But, I’m sorry … I think he may have deserved that slap. If he were in my face taunting me, I’d slap him too. So, I guess you can call me a bad mother for advocating violence to my child, but I hope that when some teenage boy is harassing her (or girl for that matter), she doesn’t back down, but stands her ground and defends herself. By the way, the boy didn’t get a demerit … hmm … just La Petite Belle. What do you think about that?
On a side note … does anyone know anything about roses? What are these? We’ve lived here for two years and I still don’t know what kind they are and how to care for them. I think I would have to trim them every day to keep them looking nice. They are overgrown within a day or two with the weather down here. Also, how do I trim them? I’ve been just trying to keep them looking nice and not kill them. So, I guess I’m not doing too much wrong because they are still alive. Any advice would be extremely helpful!Â
