Here are the rules:
1. Write about 5 specific ways blogging has affected you, either positively or negatively.
2. link back to the person who tagged you
3. link back to this parent post
4. tag a few friends or five, or none at all
5. post these rules— or just have fun breaking them

I thought it was worth a try.
1. First and foremost, I have strangely enough developed real relationships with people I have never even met. I didn’t realize this would happen when I started this little ol’ blog. I originally started this blog for three reasons: to keep in touch with distant family and friends, to have something for my children when I’m dead and gone (an internet scrapbook, if you will), and to have a place to write my thoughts and voice my opinions and thoughts. That’s it. But, the relationships that have come out of it are an added bonus.
2. I now see things differently in my daily hum-drum life. Continuously throughout the day, I’m thinking, “Oooh … this would make a great post,” or “I have to remember to post about this.”
3. And then, there’s the issue of time that I have voluntary sacrificed for this love of blogging. I can spend hours, not writing, but reading all of your wonderful posts. I’ve gotten to the point of having to limit my time on the computer. I can check my email now and then throughout the day, but full-on blog reading has to wait until I have an hour to sit down and read, usually after the kiddos are in bed.
4. Did I mention all the tips I’ve learned? Thank you to everyone. You have enriched my life. From the delicious recipes and organizing tips to the amazing money-saving shopping advice … and it’s always nice to see you all perform the hardest task of all – parenting. I learn at the same time you’re learning.
5. I’ve gone from being super cool to a computer nerd. Who would have known?

Here’s who I tag:

If you haven’t noticed, the “followers” gadget is available to all bloggers now, not just the select few. So, please, let me see you. Come on … make my day.
