Just a question … I’ve been a teacher and I know the appropriate time frame of when you are supposed to send your child back to school after she’s had a fever, but does everyone really adhere to the 24-hour rule? Because if they do, then why the heck is my kid sick? K Belle started complaining about a headache this morning and then started running fever (101.3) this afternoon. She says her throat and her head are the only things that hurt. So, I guess I’ll be keeping her home tomorrow because I’m a good, responsible parent. Even though, I really want to send her to school because at her age missing school is a big deal because of the work she’s doing and we only have about 3 1/2 weeks left. OK … so maybe I’m talking myself into sending her in the morning if she has no fever … but that wouldn’t be 24 hours … what a dilemma! I’m sure I’ll do the right thing in the morning.
