Today’s the day.
Yep.
Today’s the day I get to show all my business to my new OB/GYN.
I’ll let you know if she (yeah, I found a woman) lived up to my expectations.
I just hope she’ll explain why I tend to wake up at 4:08 a.m. and want to strip all my clothes off, not for Beau’s benefit, but for my desire to not be on fire. Dang, it’s hot.
Or maybe she’ll explain why I can’t even make it through the first 5 minutes of “The Biggest Loser” or “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” without boo-hooing. Not to mention any commercial that includes babies and children growing up and puppies. Geez. Give me a break. (Shhh … don’t ruin my facade.)
And, there’s other things.
Beau says it’s all in my head because he thinks I’m the same all the time … never emotional … never the insane woman … never out of control. Whew! I guess I’m covering it up pretty good. Because it’s like a constant pinball machine in my head. I’m constantly telling myself to simmer down.
I do exaggerate just a tad bit.
Because when you really think about it, I’m way too young for any of this nonsense. I mean, I’m still like 28 years old … OK … 30, add a few years … or more. Whatever.
Then, Beau says something like “What would you do if you found out this female doctor played for the other team?” (if you know what I mean, except he used a word I’d rather not write on my website)
Great. One more thing to be thinking about during the probing.
You're so funny. The whole OB/GYN thing is so unpleasant. I once saw an "other team" OB/GYN; she was one of the nicest and most caring docs I've seen. But really…you and I are about the same age…let's not talk about potential menopause. We're far too young…28 is far too young!
LOL!
Seriously though… I hope she tests your hormone levels. Definitely doesn't sound like menopause but just hormone imbalances. If you do, make sure you get natural hormone creams and not synthetics. Once you get the hormones back in check, you'll be good as gold and feeling 28… or even 20 again. 🙂 AND all of your exercising and eating right will pay off in bigger, faster ways! 🙂
Oh my word….funny. I think it would be MORE abnormal for someone to enjoy going to the OB/GYN, and totally insensitive if they don't boo-hoo during Extreme Makeover-Home Edition…I mean those are some sad sad stories!
Now the insanity and hot flashes are a different thing entirely…. 😉
Good luck with the new doc!
"the other team"…and that's why I stick with a man. It doesn't matter which team he plays on in matters like these.
I remember another post about the OB/GYN and it didn't seem like it was that long ago. Either I never go or you're very good about keeping your appointments. Sorry you've been feeling hormonal…maybe it's your thyroid. Mine is underactive and if the medicine isn't right, I get crazy symptoms that can be mistaken for menopause. We ladies in our upper 20's to very early 30's shouldn't even need to utter the "M" word.

I hate those appts. Mine's a woman too and I cannot relax. I just can't. It's biologically not within my reach. The poster of quotes on the ceiling and the "try to relax" comments only make me more tense.
Oh, and I cried watching Saved By the Bell the other day. What?! You would've cried too. Zack was in the hospital. He found out he was gonna have to have surgery (that they were gonna "hack Zack") and Lisa came in and comforted him because she's his friend and a good nurse and I cried. I'm hopeless. God help me when I'm "30, add a few years… or more."
LOL. Next time Beau goes in for his physical, ask him how he'd feel about his dr. playing for the other team while he's turning his head and coughing. 🙂
Nobody likes these appointments. Praying that your concerns and questions get answered.
Sending you blessings and a smile.
Hope the probing wasn't too – weird after your hubby's comment!
I've been putting that off… ugh. If you want to avoid a water-works display, don't see "Love Happens"… I cried like a baby!
We drove past your church today! Almost stopped, but we were trying to make it home in time for dance lessons!
I cried all the time when I was pregnant…I'M JUST SAYIN' 🙂
Hope it went well 🙂
